June 7, 2005
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and his PeyBack Foundaton hosted the seventh-annual Child Advocates Flag Football Game at the Union Federal Football Center on Wednesday, June 1. For the seventh consecutive year, the game ended in a tie.
Manning coached Peyton's Pals, which consisted of children from Child Advocates, against Manning's Mighty who were coached by Colts wide receiver Brandon Stokley. Colts linebacker Gary Brackett joined tight end's Dallas Clark and Ben Hartsock as assistant coaches. Manning's Mighty were chosen through the PeyBack Foundation's official sponsors.
The PeyBack Foundation's Official Sponsors are: American Family Insurance, St. Vincent Children's Hospital, Image/Axiom Sports, Mastercard, Zurich, Reebok and Marsh Supermarkets. A special thanks to Corporate Advantage for the screening of the game t-shirts. Reebok donated the shirts for the game.
Each child that participated in the game received a Reebok gym bag filled with various items courtesy of the PeyBack Foundation. Following the game, the Foundation hosted a private barbecue dinner for the participants in the Colts Pavilion.
Manning has been a friend and supporter of the children of Child Advocates since he arrived in Indianapolis in 1998. Child Advocates is appointed by the Marion County Courts to represent the best interests of children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse and neglect.
