The 2005 Peyton's Pals are taking a special summer vacation this weekend courtesy of Peyton Manning and the PeyBack Foundation. The group will spend June 9-12 on a Disney Cruise that begins in Orlando, Florida ATA, locally based in Indianapolis, donated the airfare for the trip.
The second year of the Peyton's Pals program implemented by the PeyBack Foundation got underway in March with a special trip to Jillian's restaurant in downtown Indianapolis for an evening of bowling, food, games and visit from the Indianapolis Colts quarterback. The group attended a Pacers game in April followed by a day trip in May to Cincinnati to see the Reds play the Dodgers.
The PeyBack Foundation worked with Child Advocates in Indianapolis to select 20 children, ages 11-14, to participate in the year-round program. The children will be involved in one event a month. The purpose of the program is to provide monthly outings and activities to benefit at-risk children chosen from the client population of Child Advocates.
